MINSK, 10 December (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Turkey with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Iraq Viktor Rybak visited Baghdad on 8-9 December, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Turkey.
Viktor Rybak presented his credentials to Iraqi President Barham Salih. Top on the agenda of the meetings with the president and the minister of foreign affairs of Iraq were the state and prospects of Belarus-Iraq relations, in particular ways to boost trade and economic cooperation.
The ambassador also visited the Honorary Consulate of Belarus in Baghdad, studied the way it operates and held talks with Honorary Consul of Belarus in Baghdad Majid Al-Qaysi.
Other meetings in Baghdad also focused on Belarus-Iraq contacts.
