Belarus' ambassador, CSTO secretary general discuss promotion of Belarusian initiatives

MOSCOW, 15 January (BelTA) – Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik met with Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

The parties discussed the military and political situation in the CSTO area of responsibility. "Special attention was paid to the status of the decisions of the November session of the CSTO Collective Security Council held in 2024. The parties discussed the promotion of Belarusian initiatives to develop CSTO strategic concept documents," the press service said.

Aleksandr Rogozhnik and Imangali Tasmagambetov confirmed the need to further improve the training of the CSTO collective forces, close cooperation of special bodies and services of the CSTO member states in order to tackle new emerging challenges and threats.
