Azerbaijan to protect Belarus from unwarranted international criticism
BAKU, 28 November (BelTA) – Azerbaijan is ready to protect Belarus from unwarranted criticism in international organizations. Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev made the statement for mass media during the visit of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to Azerbaijan on 28 November, BelTA has learned.
Ilham Aliyev noted that Belarus and Azerbaijan actively support each other in the international scene. The President stressed that he particularly appreciates when the countries support each other or speak up in the organizations, of which they are not members.
“We know that we will always present a principled stance if our countries are subjected to unwarranted accusations within the framework of these organizations. We treasure this level of cooperation,” said the Azerbaijani head of state.
