MINSK, 24 March (BelTA) – The Central Election Commission of Belarus has set the average number of voters per constituency for the sake of elections to the sixth-convocation House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, BelTA has learned.

The average number of voters per constituency will be 63,715 for the forthcoming elections to the Belarus parliament.

Explaining the decision, the Central Election Commission said that the Commission is supposed to set the average number of voters per constituency for the sake of elections to the lower chamber of the Belarus parliament at least five months before the term of office of the current parliament runs out. The average number of voters per constituency has to be based on the number of voters registered during the previous elections, the source added.
