YEREVAN, 17 August (BelTA-Armenpress) – The Belarusian and Armenian defense ministers discussed matters of military cooperation in Yerevan, BelTA has learned. Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan talked to mass media after meeting with the delegation led by Belarusian Defense Minister Andrei Ravkov.
Seyran Ohanyan said: “We met on 16 August during the session of the CSTO Defense Ministers Council, which Armenia presided over. Today we had a vis-а-vis meeting with a larger number of representatives of the defense ministries of both countries. We exchanged our thoughts about the situation in the world and the region.”
The sides paid close attention to this year’s programs. According to the Armenian Defense Minister, this year is a very intensive one. “The year 2016 is very intensive for us and rich in scheduled events. I think events relating to joint combat training, experience sharing, interaction on all matters advance cooperation with the Belarusian Defense Ministry to a high level. The visit of the Belarusian Defense Minister will give a new impulse to these relations,” noted Seyran Ohanyan.
