Vladimir Koltovich informed the Ukrainian counterpart on the work done to establish the ministry in a new format, on the main directions of its activities, including the establishment of cooperation with the antimonopoly authorities of other countries and international organizations dealing with competition development matters.

Yuri Terentyev spoke about the ongoing work to improve approaches and increase the effectiveness of competition protection by the state, including the introduction of the methodology to assess regulatory legal acts and indicators of the economic effect from the work of structural units and territorial bodies of the committee, on some of the investigations of the violation of economic competition protection laws in petrol sales, mobile communications, the wholesale trade in tobacco products, pharmaceuticals and many more.

The parties discussed the organization of joint seminars and on-the-job training for specialists of the two agencies, and also an exchange of information necessary to fulfill the assigned functions in the field of protecting and developing economic competition.

A protocol was signed between the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus and the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine on the introduction of amendments to the Agreement on Cooperation between the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Investment of Belarus and the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine of 18 February 1997.
