Ambassador: Xi Jinping attaches great importance to cooperation with Belarus

MINSK, 26 May (BelTA) - Chairman of the People's Republic of China, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party Xi Jinping attaches great importance to the development of cooperation with Belarus, Chinese Ambassador to Belarus Xie Xiaoyong said at the scientific conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC in the House of Friendship in Minsk on 26 May, BelTA has learned.

The diplomat is confident in the good prospects of the Chinese-Belarusian cooperation.

He also spoke about the important role of the Communist Party in the life of the Chinese state. "The Communist Party is the governing core of China's development," the diplomat said. “Over the past century, the CPC has rallied the multi-ethnic people of China and put them on the path of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, ensured the country's independence,  rapid economic development, long-term social stability, growing power and prosperity of the state and better well-being of people. It has created a "Chinese miracle" - a special phenomenon in the history of the development of the Chinese nation.”

A series of festive events will be held in China to celebrate the centennial anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party. It will include events celebrating the party’s history, a grand ceremony, an awards ceremony, large-scale exhibitions, cultural events, seminars, symposiums, and first-day-of-issue dedication ceremonies for stamps, envelopes, and coins. According to the ambassador, the key event will be the grand ceremony to celebrate the party’s centennial anniversary, during which Xi Jinping will deliver a keynote speech.
