MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik has arrived in Azerbaijan on a working visit, BelTA has learned. The press service of the Foreign Ministry

In Baku Sergei Aleinik is set to take part in the ministerial meeting of the countries participating in the Non-Aligned Movement, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The Non-Aligned Movement was formed in 1961 to defend the interests of developing countries in the context of the Cold War confrontation. Today, it has 120 member states, or 60% of the membership of the United Nations. 18 states and 10 organizations have an observer status in the NAM.

Belarus has been a member of the Non-Aligned Movement since 1998.
