MINSK, 3 July (BelTA) – It is very nice to be together with the Belarusians on Independence Day, Ambassador of Venezuela to Belarus Jose Joaquin Boggiano Pericchi said in an interview with the Belarus 1 TV channel on 3 July.

“I wish your country peace and development. May you continue to work towards peace in the region and in the world. We all need a different world without wars, conflicts. Every year I join Belarusians in celebrating such an important date for them and I am very pleased to be with the Belarusians on this day,” Ambassador Jose Joaquin Boggiano Pericchi said.

Sudanese Charge d'affaires Faisal Abdelazim Salim also took part in the festivities in the capital of Belarus. “First of all, let me wish Happy Independence Day to all Belarusians. This is the first time I am taking part in such celebrations in your country because I came here a little more than six months ago. We opened the embassy here, and this is evidence of progressive relations between our countries. I wish Belarus all the very best,” he noted.

Belarus marked Independence Day, the main holiday of Belarusian statehood, on 3 July. The capital hosted a military parade and a theatrical part headlined as Moi Rodny Kut (My Native Land).

The festive program on 3 July wrapped up with a gala concert, which started at 21.00 at the site near the Minsk Hero City Stele. The gala concert was themed around the unity of the country and the unity of different generations of the Belarusians. The concert was divided into six thematic blocks dedicated to the regions of Belarus and the capital city. Every block featured popular artists, natives of a region. The gala concert culminated with the Let’s Sing the Anthem Together event and a fireworks display.
