Union State named leader of integration processes in post-Soviet space

MOSCOW, 31 March (BelTA) – The Union State will remain a leader of integration processes in the post-Soviet space, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota told a press conference on 31 March, BelTA has learned.

“The level of integration in the Union State is much higher than in the Eurasian Economic Union. The EEU did not even start to solve many issues which had been already solved in the Union State,” the state secretary said.

Grigory Rapota mentioned the absence of border control in the Union State and the resolution of many social issues as an example. “We will be glad if other member states of the EEU take part in the resolution of the issues which had been solved in the Union State. All this is done for people,” Grigory Rapota said.

The state secretary is convinced that the Union State remains a pilot project in integration processes, and this situation will remain unchanged for a rather long period of time.
