“Straightforward and precise”. U.S. blogger compares Lukashenko with Trump

MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – U.S. blogger Mario Nawfal shared his impressions of the interview with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko with Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.

“Straightforward and precise. Lukashenko is one of the few leaders who says what he thinks. Here, he and President Trump have much in common,” the blogger said.

The conversation raised a number of issues, including normalization of relations between East and West, and, in particular, the emerging dialogue between the USA and Russia, peace process in Ukraine and the role of the new US administration in it, as well as geopolitics and the current state and prospects of international relations.

Earlier, U.S. blogger Mario Nawfal named the key message of the interview given by Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko as he shared his impressions of the conversation with journalists. “The key thing I came away with after the conversation with the president is that he wants peace. He mentioned that he treated kindly the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. And I realized that he does not just talk about peace, he genuinely wants it,” the blogger said.
