According to Vladimir Andreichenko, friendly political relations between the two countries provide a good basis for the development of trade, economic, and investment cooperation. In 2019, Belarus-Hungary trade rose by 30% over 2018 and reached $253 million. “This is a good result. We need to move forward. I think we are fully able to double this number,” Vladimir Andreichenko said.
He added that Belarus is ready to propose Hungary very good business projects. “All conditions for this are in place,” he noted.

Vladimir Andreichenko stressed Belarus and Hungary’s intent to establish long-term mutually beneficial cooperation. “Our relations are gradually developing both in the bilateral format and within international organizations,” he said and mentioned cooperation within the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly as an example. “Its aim is to strengthen peace, stability, and trust not only in the European region, but in the whole world,” Vladimir Andreichenko added.
“We should step up cooperation, find new forms and methods. We should also cooperate in the Visegrad Group, the European Union, and the Eurasian Economic Union,” Vladimir Andreichenko said. He pointed out that in January Belarus took over the presidency over the EAEU bodies.
