Shidlovsky: Belarus expands engagement with USA

MINSK, 28 July (BelTA) – Belarus continues to expand contacts with the United States, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of Belarus in the USA Pavel Shidlovsky told journalists, BelTA reports.

“Our dialogue with the American side continues – necessary contacts have been established and are progressing. The Embassy also maintains communication with U.S. civil society organizations, humanitarian groups, and expert communities. There is clear interest in Belarus. However, diplomacy favors discretion, so I cannot elaborate further at this stage,” Pavel Shidlovsky remarked.

When asked about the potential exchange of accredited ambassadors, the diplomat noted that while Belarus is in dialogue with the U.S. administration and key contacts are being maintained, this specific issue is not currently on the agenda.
