Ryzhenkov: Minsk has been rapidly developing in recent years

MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) - Minsk has been rapidly developing in recent years, First Deputy Head of Belarus’ President Administration Maksim Ryzhenkov said at the official awards ceremony to mark the 950th anniversary of Minsk on 9 September, BelTA has learned.

Maksim Ryzhenkov noted that the Belarusian capital becomes more beautiful every year, and the credit for this goes, in many ways, to labor collectives. The best representatives of companies and organizations were awarded honorary diplomas of the President Administration. Among the prizewinners were the labor groups of the administration of the Sovietsky District of Minsk, Minskreklama and Minskkontsert companies and also the institutions of education, culture, social services, and law enforcement.

Maxim Ryzhenkov read out a message of greetings from Belarus President and wished Minsk and its citizens peace and prosperity.

Ryzhenkov: Minsk has been rapidly developing in recent yearsChairman of the Council of the Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich handed diplomas of honor of Belarus’ National Assembly to Anatoly Zhukovsky, the head of the Oktyabrsky District administration of Minsk, and Igor Rusakevich, a member of the Minsk City Council of Deputies of the 27th convocation, and also extended warm greetings to the Minsk City Hall and the Minsk City Council of Deputies.

“Thanks to the dedicated and hard work of many generations, Minsk has become one of the most beautiful European capitals. The rich history of the hero city is complemented by well-landscaped green zones and residential areas. Today Minsk is the center of business, political, scientific and cultural life of Belarus, a hub of the country’s economic and intellectual potential,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said.

Ryzhenkov: Minsk has been rapidly developing in recent yearsChairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko emphasized the fact that Minsk is an important international platform. For example, it has recently hosted the OSCE PA summer session. “High level of organization and hospitality left pleasant impressions on the participants of the session,” he said and expressed gratitude for the constructive cooperation with the MPs.

Honorary diplomas of the Council of Ministers were also presented during the ceremony. Welcome address on behalf of the government was read out by Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Vasily Zharko. He congratulated Minsk on the landmark date and wished further successes and inexhaustible energy.
