MOSCOW, 11 January (BelTA) – The policy of expanding Russia’s strategic interaction with Belarus is beyond doubt, BelTA learned from the official spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova on 11 January.

Maria Zakharova said: “Belarus is our reliable ally, a partner. The policy of expanding strategic interaction with Minsk is beyond doubt. In particular, it is stipulated by the concept of the Russian foreign policy.”

In her opinion, there are ways to make the Union State of Belarus and Russia more effective. A special Belarusian-Russian working group has been set up with this goal in mind.

“As for specific issues raised by the president of Belarus – trade in agricultural products, the tax maneuver, transportation by road, and many other ones – the relevant government agencies conduct a dialogue about them,” added Maria Zakharova.
