Russia president sends Unity Day greetings to Alexander Lukashenko

MOSCOW, 2 April (BelTA) – The results of joint efforts of Belarus and Russia to build the Union State become more tangible, Russia President Vladimir Putin said in a message of greetings to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on the occasion of the Day of Unity of People’s of Belarus and Russia, BelTA learned from the Kremlin press service.

The Russian president pointed out smooth mechanisms in the coordination of the foreign and defense policies of the two states, vigorously developing trade and economic, scientific and technical, humanitarian and regional ties.

Vladimir Putin mentioned the importance of the experience that was accumulated by Belarus and Russia in the process of the Union State construction which helps promote integration cooperation in a wider format in the Eurasian space.

“The Russian president also expressed confidence that by joint efforts the states will ensure further enhancement of the allied Belarusian-Russian relations, mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields for the benefit of the brotherly nations,” the press release of the press service reads.
