Rubinov points to progress in Belarus’ relations with western countries

MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – Certain headway has been made recently in the relations between Belarus and western countries, Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Anatoly Rubinov said opening the sixth session of the Council of the Republic of the fifth convocation on 2 October, BelTA has learned.

“A dialogue has been resumed on a number of issues of mutual interest. The first Belarusian-U.S. investment forum is a good example of the recent improvements, partaking in the forum was a big Belarusian delegation led by Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich,” the Speaker said.

Anatoly Rubinov added that Belarus has been pursuing a policy of peace and advocates a constructive and equal dialogue with every state. “The history teaches us that a policy of threats and ultimatums against any country is unpromising and has never brought positive results,” he said.
