Putin praises Belarus, Lukashenko’s efforts in Ukraine conflict resolution

BISHKEK, 26 November (BelTA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin praised the contribution of Belarus and, in particular, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in attempts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. He made this statement during a meeting with the Belarusian leader in Bishkek on 26 November, BelTA has learned.

Vladimir Putin noted that the Belarusian head of state is among those seeking to bring the conflict to an end. “We appreciate your contribution to resolving this conflict. Let me remind you, from the very beginning, all the efforts made by Belarus in this regard have had positive results. Our first contacts with the Kiev regime on this issue took place precisely on Belarusian soil, with your direct involvement and support,” he pointed out.
