Putin: 2016 demonstrated enduring value of Russia-Belarus friendship

MOSCOW, 30 December (BelTA) – The year 2016 demonstrated the enduring value of the friendship between Russia and Belarus. Important issues on the bilateral agenda were resolved and progress in the construction of the Union State was secured despite the difficult international situation. Russia President Vladimir Putin made the statement in his message of Christmas and New Year greetings sent to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA learned from the Kremlin press service.

Vladimir Putin expressed hope that the two countries will continue working together to develop all aspects of the Russian-Belarusian partnership, advance mutually beneficial integration processes, and ensure stability and security in Eurasia.
