Prokoptsov: The National Art Museum will continue working for the benefit of cultureMINSK, 4 January (BelTA) – The Spiritual Revival Award bestowed by the Belarus president upon the National Art Museum of Belarus will spur the museum’s further endeavors for the benefit of culture, BelTA learned from the museum’s Director Vladimir Prokoptsov.

Vladimir Prokoptsov said: “The fact that we receive this award on the eve of the year 2016, which has been declared the Year of Culture in Belarus, represents an evaluation of the many years of our team’s work. At the same time the award will encourage us to work on in order to create new projects for the sake of attracting as many visitors as possible to the museum, including foreign tourists. The National Art Museum in association with other cultural institutions will continue working on shaping an image of Belarus that will be attractive for tourists.”

We will work even harder in order to gain European and international prominence for our museum and the museum quarter, which is being built under the aegis of the Belarus president,” said the official. According to Vladimir Prokoptsov, the National Art Museum will continue hosting exhibitions by prominent foreign colleagues as well as Belarusian painters, people of art, craftsmen. “We are going to secure a wide representation of our national cultural and historical legacy,” the museum director shared his plans.
