PM: Belarus, Turkey may reach $1.5bn in mutual trade

MINSK, 14 February (BelTA) – Belarus and Turkey may reach $1.5 billion in mutual trade, Belarus’ Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov said as he met with his Turkish counterpart Binali Yildirim on 14 February, BelTA informs.

The Belarus-Turkey trade has increased more than five times over the past 10 years to reach $1 billion in 2017. “We still have a lot to work on,” Andrei Kobyakov said.

The Belarusian head of government believes as important to have a balanced trade turnover.

The premiers discussed the promising areas for intensifying economic cooperation between Belarus and Turkey. “I hope that our agreements will encourage the businessmen of Belarus and Turkey to develop different forms of cooperation in the area of investments and industrial cooperation,” Andrei Kobyakov added.
