Petro Poroshenko: Belarus and Ukraine will never quarrel with each other

CHERNOBYL, 26 April (BelTA) – Nobody will ever be able to put Ukraine at odds with Belarus, BelTA learned from Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko on 26 April.

Petro Poroshenko stressed: “It is very important for us and I am convinced that the Ukrainian-Belarusian border will always be a border of friendship and good neighbors, reliable partnership, and peace. Nobody will ever be able to put Ukraine at odds with Belarus.”

Speaking about the Chernobyl catastrophe, the Ukraine president noted that millions of people, including hundreds of thousands of children, had been affected by the disaster one way or another. “The Chernobyl disaster rolled across the entire region, making no difference between nations and borders,” noted the Ukrainian leader.

Petro Poroshenko also praised the heroic deeds of the Chernobyl cleanup workers, who paid with lives to stop the catastrophe and save millions of lives.
