Palestinian ambassador grateful to Belarus for evacuating people from Gaza

Palestinian ambassador grateful to Belarus for evacuating people from Gaza

MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine to Belarus Ahmed Almathbouh is in the Minsk National Airport to welcome Belarusians and their families, who have been evacuated from the Gaza Strip. The ambassador thanked Belarus for rescuing the people, BelTA has learned.

Ahmed Almathbouh said: “We are very grateful to Belarus for saving lives of these people. To stay in the Gaza Strip is tantamount to death now. One can say these people were reborn anew when they were saved. There are a lot of children on board and their lives are most precious. The key thing is that now these people have an opportunity to raise children in a peaceful environment and wait for grandchildren.”

In his opinion, the voice of wisdom should stop what is going on in the Gaza Strip. “It is necessary to at least give humanitarian aid to the people, who are left there. They need it badly. They have no electricity, no water, no medications,” the Palestinian ambassador to Belarus stated.
