Opinion: We live and work in peaceful country thanks to Great Victory

MINSK, 9 May (BelTA) -  Victory Day is a sacred day for every Belarusian, Head of the Belarus President Administration Natalya Kochanova told the media, BelTA has learned.

“For me this day grows in importance every year because I realize more clearly all the things that our ancestors did during the Great Patriotic War,” Natalya Kochanova noted.

She addressed special words of gratitude to the veterans: “We bow low to all our veterans! It is a happiness to live in a peaceful country, be able to work, raise children, live under the peaceful sky. I think it is a sacred day for every Belarusian.”

Natalya Kochanova drew attention to the importance of the Victory celebration for the present-day generation and stressed the need to preserve the memory of the heroism of the people, pay homage to those who lost their lives for peace and independence of the country.
