MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Moldova are interested in developing mutually beneficial cooperation, Moldova Prime Minister Pavel Filip said in an interview to the STV TV channel, BelTA has learned.

Relations between Belarus and Moldova are at a high quality level. I would like Moldova to have such relations with many other countries. I flew to Minsk on a direct flight. This is one concrete result of successful bilateral cooperation,” said Pavel Filip.

He named the delivery of equipment to Moldova is among the important areas of cooperation. While in Belarus, the prime minister visited the Belkommunmash enterprise to see the production of electric buses. “I was pleased with what I saw. I believe that this product is of very high quality, just what is needed today,” Pavel Filip said.

The parties discussed the development of a high-tech cattle-breeding center in Moldova. During a visit to the Minsk Automobile Plant, the delegation from Moldova was showed specialized equipment, including that for garbage collection.

Moldova’s prime minister also emphasized similar positions of Moldova and Belarus on the main issues on the international agenda, including the need to resolve conflicts in the world exclusively by peaceful means. “It is important to work on conflict prevention and its early resolution. Time passes, and it becomes more and more complicated to do this. Belarus’s peacemaking initiatives voiced by the president should be welcomed and supported in every way. We need platforms to resolve such conflicts,” said Pavel Filip.
