Nigeria praises prospects of bilateral cooperation with Belarus

MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) – Nigeria highly praises the prospects of bilateral cooperation with Belarus, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Yemi Osinbajo said as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Nigeria Vyacheslav Beskosty on 10 September, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties hailed considerable progress made in the development of the Belarusian-Nigerian relations in every area of cooperation.

Yemi Osinbajo took note of the recent intensification of mutual contacts and stressed that Nigeria highly evaluates the prospects of bilateral cooperation between Belarus and Nigeria and is ready to develop both political and economic ties. The Vice President of Nigeria also stated that the implementation of the planned bilateral events would add additional impetus to the development of the Belarusian-Nigerian cooperation.

Vyacheslav Beskosty stated, in turn, that Belarus views Nigeria as an important and promising economic partner. He stressed the need to intensify mutually beneficial economic relations and joint projects and added that Belarus is interested in expanding the lineup of its exports to Nigeria.
