Myasnikovich: Cooperation with India is among Belarus’ priorities

MINSK, 7 September (BelTA) – Cooperation with India is among Belarus’ priorities, Chairman of the Belarusian Council of the Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich said as he met with Indian Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman on 7 September, BelTA has learned.

“Cooperation with India is among Belarus’ priorities. This applies not only to the government authorities but also to the members of parliament. In general, our people have a special regard for the people of India and value our cooperation that is dynamically developing,” Mikhail Myasnikovich noted. Belarus is happy about India’s achievements in social and economic development. The Chairman of the Council of the Republic stressed that India is a country whose opinion is taken into consideration worldwide.

Apart from that, Mikhail Myasnikovich congratulated the Indian side on the agreements reached at the highest level. He believes that the sides came to a full understanding on a number of key matters. Mikhail Myasnikovich thanked Ambassador of India to Belarus Manoj Kumar Bharti, whose diplomatic mission in Minsk has expired, for his contribution to strengthening the relations between the two countries. In his words, the position of the Indian Ambassador was interesting and constructive. Mikhail Myasnikovich also noted that Manoj Kumar Bharti has been appointed as the Ambassador of lndia to Ukraine.Myasnikovich: Cooperation with India is among Belarus’ priorities
