Minsk ready for organized tourist groups from Vietnam

MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) – Minsk is ready to welcome organized tourist groups from Vietnam. Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Igor Karpenko made the statement as he met with a delegation of the Vietnam-Belarus Friendship Society in Minsk City Hall on 8 September, BelTA has learned.

The deputy head of the Minsk city administration said that well-developed tourism infrastructure has been created in the Belarusian capital. The public catering system and mass transportation are well developed. “Minsk has a great potential as a tourism destination. The capital city is ready to welcome guests from Vietnam as organized groups,” said Igor Karpenko. The official mentioned event tourism, business tourism, and healthcare tourism.

In turn, Nguyen Thai Lai, President of the Belarus-Vietnam Friendship Society, noted that tourism development helps make ties between the Belarusian and Vietnamese nations stronger. Events meant to popularize tourism opportunities in Belarus and Russia will be organized in Vietnam in September 2016, said Nguyen Thai Lai. He underlined that Minsk is developing rapidly in all spheres, including tourism.
