Minsk described as convenient venue for discussing important international matters

MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) – Minsk is a convenient venue for discussing important international matters, BelTA learned from Christine Muttonen, who worked as the chairperson of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in 2016-2017.

Christine Muttonen is taking part in an international forum of the expert initiative Minsk Dialogue, which began in the Belarusian capital city on 23 May. Eastern Europe: In Search of Security for All is the theme of the forum. Christine Muttonen said she believes that Minsk is a very convenient venue for this kind of meetings.

“In the international scene Minsk enjoys the reputation of a platform for peace talks,” said Christine Muttonen. She praised the excellent organization of the summer session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Minsk in 2017. She remarked it was a great honor and pleasure to once again come to Belarus and participate in such an important forum. Christine Muttonen said she hoped for a fruitful discussion among experts.
