Minister: Coronavirus is losing steam in Belarus

MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) – Belarus has passed the peak of the coronavirus outbreak, Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich told reporters at the joint briefing with Head of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being [Rospotrebnadzor] Anna Popova on 3 February, BelTA has learned

“The epidemiological situation has stabilized in Belarus and Russia. It is clear that Belarus is a much smaller country, but the pandemic is losing potency in all regions of the country,” Dmitry Pinevich said.

According to him, the meeting hosted by the Belarusian government on 3 February discussed the delivery of Russian vaccines against coronavirus, including Sputnik V and other Russian solutions.

In addition to that, the parties discussed the use of the application Traveling Without COVID-19 to assist travelers with crossing the border, as well as the interaction of the two countries in the WHO and other international organizations.
