MFA hopes for further constructive cooperation with foreign, Belarusian media

MINSK, 23 December (BelTA) – Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei held a traditional annual meeting with media representatives on 22 December on the occasion of the forthcoming New Year and Christmas holiday season, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Attending the event were representatives of the foreign and Belarusian mass media, diplomatic corps, press services of the Belarusian government bodies and analytical centers.

In his greetings the Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs took stock of the country’s foreign political activity in 2016, noting that Belarus will continue promoting trust and friendly relations between the countries. Stressing the influence of the media on these important areas in international relations, Vladimir Makei expressed hope for further constructive cooperation of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs with foreign and Belarusian mass media.

Vladimir Makei extended New Year and Christmas greetings to all the present and reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to cooperation with the media in an atmosphere of openness and mutual respect.
