MFA: Belarus condemns any attempts to disrupt Minsk process

MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) – Belarus condemns any attempts to sabotage the Minsk process, Anatoly Glaz, the head of the department of information and digital diplomacy (spokesperson) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, told the media on 6 September, BelTA has learned.

According to him, Belarus is not a party to the negotiations on resolving the situation in Ukraine and does not interfere with them. “Yet, we are not casual observers either. We create and will continue to create the conditions for the process and any initiatives aimed at avoiding confrontation, developing dialogue and cooperation in the region. We welcome efforts to reach a truce within the framework of the trilateral contact group,” he said.

“Any violence in the conflict zone, the suffering and death of people, including that of Alexander Zakharchenko, are unacceptable for us. We condemn any attempts to disrupt the Minsk process. We call on all stakeholders not to follow those who want to block this process but to show willingness to continue the dialogue,” Anatoly Glaz emphasized.

The official representative of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated with regret that the Minsk Process does not develop as dynamically as it could. “On our part, we are ready to provide assistance to ensure negotiations in any format if needed,” he said.
