Makei: Friendly relations with France are vital for Belarus

MINSK, 31 October (BelTA) – Belarus assigns high priority to the promotion of friendly relations with France in all the areas, Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said on 31 October as he met with Director of the Department for Continental Europe of the French Foreign Ministry Eric Fournier and the French ambassadors to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine, BelTA has learned.

“I am happy to welcome such a representative delegation of French diplomats on the Belarusian land,” the Belarusian Foreign Minister underlined.

He noted: “We welcome the decision of the French side to conduct a meeting of French ambassadors in the Belarusian capital”.

The French diplomats came to Minsk to take part in the regional meeting of ambassadors to the CIS states and Georgia arranged by the French Foreign Ministry.
