Lukashenko: West seeks to change state system in Belarus

MINSK, 10 December (BelTA) – By applying sanctions the West seeks to change not only the government but also the entire state system in Belarus, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council summit on 10 December, BelTA has learned.

“We know that the West and the United States have already started asking you to join the pressure on Belarus. You know, they have already issued a fifth package of sanctions against Belarus. There will be a sixth, a seventh and no one knows how many more. This is economic pressure on Belarus to change, as they say directly, not only the government but the entire state system in Belarus,” said Aleksandr Lukashenko.

The president thanked Russia and other EAEU states for support to Belarus.
