Lukashenko: Voice of Slavianski Bazaar is a voice for peace and friendship between nations

Lukashenko: Voice of Slavianski Bazaar is a voice for peace and friendship between nations

VITEBSK, 10 July (BelTA) – The voice of the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk festival is the voice for peace and friendship between nations, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the opening ceremony of the 34th International Arts Festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk on 10 July, BelTA has learned.

Every year, talented performers from various countries meet on the stage of the Summer Amphitheater in Vitebsk. And every year an atmosphere of friendship and respect is established here.

“This is the essence of our entire policy. They say that Slavianski Bazaar is outside of politics. No. It is an important part of it. It is crucial to the policy that we, heads of state, (not only of Slavic nations, as we already see) will implement. This is where it all begins. Therefore, this is big politics. Without xenophobia, without any prejudices. Honestly and openly,” the Belarusian leader said.

“We know that the atmosphere of the Slavianski Bazaar festival will have a positive and lasting impact on participants and guests as they return home. They will share their impressions with friends, family and loved ones. This is the voice of the festival, the voice for peace and friendship between nations. It must be heard. And it will definitely be heard even by those who are deaf and do not want to hear,” the Belarusian leader believes.
