Lukashenko urges to set up transnational corporations in EAEU

MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) – We need to set up our own transnational corporations in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said during the talks with Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

“I am convinced that Belarus and Kazakhstan have great potential to bolster bilateral ties. It is important to intensify investments in manufacturing and promotion of merchandise and services export. We need to set up our own transnational corporations in the Eurasian Economic Union for successful promotion of our goods in foreign markets. We have the resources to match such ambitious plans,” the Belarusian head of state noted.

According to Alexander Lukashenko, the current year has been quite saturated with Belarus-Kazakhstan contacts. A constructive meeting was held within the framework of the SCO Summit; a series of visits by senior officials was carries out. Belarus took an active part in Astana EXPO 2017. “Such intensity of dialogue highlights the strategic nature of our relations and partnership,” the Belarusian president noted.

Alexander Lukashenko stressed that the signing of the interstate treaty and a program of social and economic cooperation till 2026 will be an important step towards the further strengthening of bilateral relations.

“Kazakhstan is a strategic partner for us. We very much appreciate our close ties and are set to cooperate actively on all fronts. I guarantee you this: If we have agreements on some issues, we will strictly abide by them, and you will never have any problems with us. Moreover, we endorsed the proposal of our governments to establish such corporations in areas from education to logistics,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
