Lukashenko: Trump, Zelensky liked each other

MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) – At the meeting with Ukrainian journalists on 26 September Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said that in his view, the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky in New York went well, BelTA has learned.

“You say that it was a heady day in the United Nations. However, I believe that it was a regular day. I have been in politics for a long time and I have been to the UN many times. It was a regular day, but you made it something to remember. The meeting of Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump, as I see it, was decent, intelligent and nice. Everything was nice. You have created dozens of thrilling moments in the United Nations, but they caught less attention. These telephone conversations, with conspiracy theories, drew even more attention to the meeting,” he said.

“In fact, it was an acquaintance of the two presidents face to face. I think, it went very well. They liked each other. We can say that this hot day was normal for the U.S.-Ukrainian relations,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.
