Lukashenko talks about psychosis of starting war in Europe

MINSK, 21 February (BelTA) – It is necessary to do everything to preserve Belarus. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement during a solemn ceremony held on 21 February to present state awards and hand over the banner of the Belarusian prosecution service to prosecution service personnel, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko remarked that a psychosis about starting a war in Europe had begun lately alongside the pandemic-generated psychosis. “We’ve once again turned out to be in the epicenter of these events. I tell reporters and other ones more and more often: well, there you go! I went to see an army exercise the other day. Dreadful weather occurred at the end of the exercise: torrential rain, sleet, strong winds. I don’t remember such weather occurring for a long time. Everyone was freezing and stood there shivering. Well, I thought I should talk at length to them to allow us and foreigners to better feel the uncomfortable conditions we are accustomed to. I asked them: ‘Do you finally understand that a war is a terrible thing, that things will be even worse than they are now?’ And after all we are accustomed to good conditions,” he said.

“This is why everything should be done to preserve our country. But if… (I always say it openly to the nation) we, uniformed personnel will be in the first ranks to protect our fatherland,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
