Lukashenko skeptical about possibility of World War 3

BREST OBLAST, 21 October (BelTA) – It is unlikely that World War 3 will happen but it is necessary to fear and anticipate everything. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement in front of reporters as he visited the combined-arms military training area Obuz-Lesnovsky in Brest Oblast, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “It is necessary to anticipate everything and fear everything. Who can say today that World War 3 won’t happen? We have never been so close to it. But I don’t believe that there will be World War 3. Because World War 3 may result in the destruction of everyone and everything. Who would want to die today?”

Aleksandr Lukashenko remarked that Europe is primarily concerned about the possibility of the launch of World War 3. “It will begin if only, god forbid, nuclear weapons are used. Although not with 100% certainty. There are different kinds of weapons. But god forbid, of course. It would be a totally different picture,” the president said.

Since the last few days in Belarus looked like a parent week – Belarusians celebrated their first ever Father’s Day on 21 October and celebrated Mother’s Day on 14 October, Aleksandr Lukashenko gave his take on what are the most important things for parents and their kids in today’s restless situation.

“To put it simply, the most important thing for parents right now is if their little son or daughter can wake up in the morning with a smile, smile at the parents, have a meal. If you can bathe your little kid in warm water and maybe more than once. And if you can take a shower. If you don’t have to wash used toilet paper as some crazy people in the West recommend it now. If you can live a normal life. To be more precise: if we can live the next year at least as well as this year. Not worse.  It is the key thing. You see what is going on in the world. It is the main thing,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
