Lukashenko reveals new details of conversation with Trump

MINSK, 22 August (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko unveiled new details of his telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump as he answered journalists’ questions in Minsk on 22 August, BelTA has learned.

The head of state said that the call was interrupted after a fairly short time. Donald Trump then called back. “I said: ‘Donald, some enemies have interfered in our conversation’,” the president noted, emphasizing that the dialogue between the two leaders resumed with this joke.

The discussion also touched upon the talks in Alaska, which were to take place shortly thereafter, and also the visits by U.S. representatives to Minsk and their talks with Aleksandr Lukashenko.
