Lukashenko: Re-division of the world has started, it is important to keep Belarus safe

MINSK, 6 October (BelTA) – The re-division of the world has started, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with residents of Minsk District and workers at the construction site of the new section of the second ring road around Minsk on 6 October, BelTA has learned.

“Powers that be are trying to re-divide the world. The country which has a monopoly on the whole world, the most powerful country in the economic and military areas, wants to keep the world as it is and to prevent building a multi-polar world. So the fight has begun,” the Belarusian leader said.

According to the President, everything started from the attempt to build a multi-polar world. Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that Belarus is in favor of the multi-polar world order. According to him, he used to say that there would be no stability if the world does not rely on several pillars. “A multi-polar world relying on one pillar is not stable, it can collapse at any moment. An additional footing is needed. The Soviet Union was such a footing which stood against the United States; they balanced each other,” the Belarusian head of state added.

“The re-division of the world has started, in this situation we need to be wise and patient to hold out. We must protect the country,” the President said.
