Lukashenko prioritizes security of people, Belarus’ defense capability

DZERZHINSK DISTRICT, 12 April (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said that the security of people and the society, the enhancement of the country’s defense capability are the priorities for him. He made the statement during the visit to the space communication center in Dzerzhinsk District, Minsk Oblast, on 12 April, BelTA has learned.

The head of state said that Belarus pays a lot of attention to security matters. The President noted that some people are too much concerned about defense issues. Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that the maintenance of security is a priority for the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, i.e. the president is accordance with the Constitution. “The security of our people and the society, the defense capability of the country are the priorities for me,” the head of state assured.

The President spoke in detail about the manufacture of missile complexes in Belarus. “A missile is the main element in the defense complex today. This is the weapon which makes enemies think if they should interfere,” Alexander Lukashenko said. “We will pay serious attention to this issue and produce necessary and in-demand defense systems. Therefore, do not worry about the future, security and defense capability of our country. We have enough specialists who can create efficient defense systems. We will always protect our land. We will not give away what belongs to us and do not need someone else’s things.”
