Lukashenko pledges support to small and medium-sized businesses

MOGILEV, 22 July (BelTA) - Belarus will support small and medium-sized businesses, including with the use of Chinese loans, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said when talking to employees of Mogilevliftmach, a producer of elevators, BelTA has learned.

The head of state said that he visited today Tehnolit Plant to see how small and medium-sized businesses were developing. “We have agreed with the People's Republic of China that they will help up with inexpensive loans so that we could invest in such enterprises,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

Lukashenko pledges support to small and medium-sized businessesChina will allocate Belarus about half a billion dollars for these purposes. Alexander Lukashenko explained that small and medium-sized enterprises are more flexible; they are ready to produce goods for the Belarusian industrial giants which cannot manufacture small products for their needs. According to the President, visiting Tehnolit Plant he made sure again that there was a need to look for the people who want to create their own businesses. “We need to support them and help them set up their own companies,” the Belarusian leader said.
