Lukashenko on Ordinance No. 7: No more obstacles to business in Belarus

Lukashenko on Ordinance No. 7: No more obstacles to business in Belarus

MINSK, 22 December (BelTA) - In Belarus there are no longer any obstacles to entrepreneurial activity, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko noted as he met with representatives of the business community on 22 December, BelTA informs.

Ordinance No. 7 is the key document out of the adopted package. Its goal is to give people the opportunity to develop their business rather than think about the many bureaucratic formalities. You want to do business, you are welcome! There are no more obstacles. You just need to file one document, namely a notification to the executive committee and that’s it! You can get down to work the next day,” Alexander Lukashenko noted.

The president said that all technical requirements have been minimized and collected in one document. Thus, the number of fire safety regulations has been reduced 11 times, health requirements 13 times, veterinary ones 10 times. Many outdated administrative procedures have been eliminated.

“Why should we negotiate working hours of a retail outlet? The private owner will work as long as buyers come to him for goods. If the state has some other interest, we will strike a deal or set up a state-owned retail outlet which will wok the hours the state deems necessary,” the president said.
