Lukashenko: I want every Belarusian to have land plot

Lukashenko: I want every Belarusian to have land plot

SOLIGORSK, 26 June (BelTA) – It would be good if Belarusians purchased and used a land plot, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with Minsk Oblast top officials and executives on 26 June, BelTA has learned.

“We restore the so-called unpromising villages. What you lose on the swings you gain on the roundabouts – the pandemic has shown that those who have a land plot do not get infected. Therefore, I want us to make an inventory of idle land plots in our villages and agro-towns in the next five-year period. Unpromising land should be offered to people,” the head of state emphasized.

“I want all Belarusians to have a land plot because this way they will stay healthy. This land plot will be invaluable,” the head of state emphasized.

He urged everyone to seize every opportunity to purchase a land plot even if they do not have enough money yet to build a house there. The head of state is confident that it will be the right decision as there will be a place where an entire family can relax.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted: people abroad, including in Russia, have already realized that Belarus is a calm and quiet country where they and their children can live. “Why is housing in Minsk so expensive? People from Moscow rushed to Belarus. They spend money generously buying apartments in Minsk and other cities,” the president noted.

“We build a lot of housing for people in need of better housing conditions. We want to provide our own people with housing. The rest is elite housing. People from Moscow are welcome here,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
