MINSK, 18 December (BelTA) - The dialogue between Belarus and the United States is at times tough and tenacious, but it is a negotiation between equals, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he addressed the Belarusian people and Parliament in Minsk on 18 December, BelTA has learned.
“There is nothing wrong with the fact that, while having excellent strategic relations with Russia and China, we have begun building a constructive dialogue with the United States. Let me remind you, it is one of the most powerful, primary centers of power. Yes, the dialogue is sometimes tough and tenacious. Yes, every detail matters. But these are negotiations between equals. The respect and authority of our country are not questioned. And we firmly stand our ground,” the head of state said.
