Lukashenko: Concept of justice is core spiritual value in Belarus, Russia

MINSK, 14 July (BelTA) – Justice is the core spiritual value of the Belarusian and Russian mentality, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said during a meeting with St. Petersburg  Governor Alexander Beglov as they discussed pricing, BelTA learned.

Belarus is taking measures to ensure that pricing is fair and that everyone along the chain (producers, processors, trade and consumers) is happy about it.

“Justice is the core spiritual value of the Belarusian and Russian mentality. People want justice. They are far from economy. They don't need economic reasoning. They want justice. A visit to a store should not be akin to a visit to a museum because you cannot afford ‘exhibits’,” the Belarusian leader said. “I am absolutely convinced that Russia will come to this. Our Slavic peoples – Ukraine, Belarus, Russia – don't tolerate injustice. Whether we like it or not, we need to aim for justice. Not necessarily that way, maybe other way ."

“We have always adhered to these principles. I see that it bears fruit in St Pete. I promise you, we will deliver on all our obligations under our agreement,” Aleksandr Lukashenko added.
