MINSK, 10 November (BelTA) – At a meeting to finalize Belarus’ socio-economic development program for 2026-2030, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko commented on the statements of the Americans who doubt that tactical nuclear weapons are located on Belarusian territory, BelTA has learned.
One of the issues raised during the meeting was the inclusion of a priority to strengthen defense capability in the draft program. Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized that, while this matter is of utmost importance, it has its own specifics and relates to military policy, strategy, and defense. He noted that certain classified aspects should not be disclosed, including the presence of nuclear weapons in Belarus.
“The Americans continue to claim they are uncertain whether nuclear weapons are stationed in Belarus. Let them think that, we have already warned them. We do not disclose how many and where; that is my business. The weapons are stored securely. In fact, they were recently serviced in Russia and returned in their most modern tactical form. Such details cannot be revealed, and the secrecy is intended not so much for our citizens as for those abroad,” the head of state emphasized.

Aleksandr Lukashenko added that the same applies to the Oreshnik missile system, which is scheduled to be put on combat alert in December 2025: “We will not disclose details. It is a mobile complex that will never remain in one place. It will patrol designated points and [if necessary] deliver a strike from a chosen location.”
