MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – There are attempts to bite Belarus from all sides, but the state has unraveled these designs, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a ceremony to present state awards at the Palace of Independence on 3 March, BelTA has learned.

“We are going through hard times. You see attempts not only to bite us from all sides. We see everything, we have unraveled their plans. Therefore, after reading all sorts of channels, letters that you get, forget about them as soon as you finish reading them. You should know that the most valuable thing for me, the president, is you and your children,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said addressing the women in attendance. “I know that these children should live in a peaceful country under a peaceful, bright sky,” he added.

The head of state noted that there are attempts to push Belarus into the war in Ukraine and this is being done deliberately, ‘so that we expose the remaining part of our border'. “And then they will deal with us quickly, we won't even have time to return from Ukraine to defend you. This is their tactic. And their strategy is to deal with Russia and simultaneously to deal with us so that they will not have to start it again, as in August 2020. We figured out their plans, and not just figured out: we have enough information for that,” the president said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko recalled that at the recent meeting at the Palace of Independence, he spoke in detail about the plans of the enemy. The participants of the meeting were even shown a map with the situation near the Belarusian border.

Aleksandr Lukashenko warned that the opponents of Belarus would spread a lot of disinformation and lies. “I repeat once again that we know what they want. We are prepared for this. We will fight and die for you on our land. You can be sure of this,” the president said.

The president emphasized that the Belarusians do not want any scandals, conflicts and wars. “We are peaceful people. And we would like peace around us,” the Belarusian leader added.
