Lukashenko: Belarus pursues independent development path

MINSK, 18 December (BelTA) – Belarus is pursuing its own path of national development and independently determining its economic model, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said in his Address to the Belarusian people and Parliament, BelTA has learned.

"Belarus is our home. We alone determine our economic model, which has long been socially oriented. Even the Americans, staunch market capitalists, never once demanded in all our negotiations that I dismantle or abandon this model. They are not blind; they see the kind of country we have: our roads, our clean cities, our decent cars," the head of state remarked.

"We are truly implementing our own, Belarusian path. Together," the Belarusian leader emphasized. “We set all tasks based on our own interests and experience. We understand that only a sovereign state can ensure their successful fulfillment.”
